Everyone saw it and everyone thought that something serious, very serious had happened. After a peaceful morning, but sporting hot, where the French had succeeded Johann Zarco defer Nico Terol alirón the 125cc Spanish to get ahead of him, though far from impressive Maverick Viñales who won the race and after the Catalan Marc Marquez won a new opportunity, however minimal, to fight for the title of Moto2 after Thomas Luthi of Switzerland beat German Stefan Bradl came this stunning image, the second, he remembered the Japanese Shoya Tomizawa at Misano-Adriatico’s last year. Because the death of Marco Simoncelli has also been caused by abuse. Indeed, after an unfortunate fall, but outrage, at last, like Tomizawa, whose team, led by Frenchman Gilles Biggot, was the first who went to the box of Fausto Gresini, knowing that something tragic, fatal, final had happened.
No more shaking out MotoGP, the best Casey Stoner, never seen this weekend, took the lead in the first corner in tough battle with Dani Pedrosa, another favorite to win today in Sepang where, fortunately, did hot but no rain. And Simoncelli, who started very well placed, got into the squad pursuer until, out of a long curve on the right and, probably, to open the throttle, lost control of his Honda about as official as Repsol-Honda team.
Skidded the rear wheel , Sic and lay down on the Honda asphalt , but Simoncelli, like the big, huge, would not let go of the handlebars of your bike by either of his two hands. Reasonable?, Did not want the bike crashed against the wall, it would damage, thought that the right itself as skating exceeded that curve 11, the second from right, very fast. But it was the start of the race, they took just two miles, perhaps not even that, and glued to Simoncelli were two distinguished veterans, the American Colin Edwards and Italian Valentino Rossi.
HE LOST HIS HELMET
Simoncelli lying across the black asphalt, parallel, almost forming a whole with his Honda. The first to run him was Edwards, who hit the side and spent almost his front wheel over his right arm. And the Doctor, who was on the inside of the curve, parallel to Texas, hit, apparently, with the front wheel of his immense Ducati the neck of Sic, who immediately lost his helmet.
Quinta “pole position” of the season for Casey Stoner, who has a qualifying tax-driven rain, as also happened in 125 and Moto, where Zarco and Marquez managed to the best of times.
The rain turned to be decisive in qualifying once again. The practice session Saturday’s Italian Grand Prix was held in perfect conditions, but when the time of the qualifying session at Mugello the heavens were covered with black and threatening clouds, which met its forecast, downloading in the middle of the timed sessions. First in 125, not much force, sufficient to give good results before reaching the end, and then in MotoGP, and with more intensity, cutting the development of the session and forcing pilots to make a Moto2 qualifying with water.
In MotoGP the rain was just as decisive and forced to alter the strategy of the qualifying session, forcing strong enough to roll out, and in these conditions Casey Stoner took the lead. Marco Simoncelli also tried to take the best time, becoming head of the table, but Stoner won and finished faster than improve the historic “pole” of Valentino Rossi in 2008, the last achieved with qualifying tires. No one could approach the record of Stoner and end Ben Spies came to stand second, four-tenths, beating himself Simoncelli only six thousandths of a second.
Lacking a little over twenty minutes left it was raining and they all took the path of the “boxes”, giving virtually completed the training. Valentino Rossi took a detail with patients Mugello and gave viewers a few laps in the minutes end. Some more like Hayden, Crutchlow and Elijah also shot but any chance of improving, even Stoner took to the track in the past to try one out, but the fifth “pole” of the season it was for him. Spies and Simoncelli were after him, and the second line is placed Dovizioso, Lorenzo and Edwards, with Dani Pedrosa in ninth position, more than a second. Hector Barbera was tenth, Alvaro Bautista 14 º and Elías16 Toni. Read the rest of this entry »

Played a lot of races here. I love this track because the evidence of the Formula 1 we see that many here are running for overtaking. The track is uphill, downhill, curves varied as the Senna S, Orange, Diving, Junction guide … So here brings me great pleasure. The part I like best is the initial part of the Senna S to the Orange.
Lucas Di Grassi, Virgin Racing, is expected to enjoy every moment of the weekend. “For a pilot in his first year in Formula 1, which is my case, I’m not expecting to win, or win a podium or a pole. But for me it’s an honor to contest a Formula 1 Grand Prix at Interlagos. I enjoy every inch of the circuit, each curve. It is something they dream since I started racing karts.
Bruno Senna also highlighted the excitement and expectation to compete with Brazilian fans following closely. The pilot of Hispania Racing Team, nephew of triple world champion Ayrton Senna, will accelerate the first time a race car at Interlagos. “Lucas and Philip have raced at Interlagos in other categories. But I’ve never been here at the wheel of a racing car. Can not wait to see the fans in the stands, everybody in F1 says, is quite different from the rest of the world. “
